M.A. – Registered Psychotherapist

I have been seeing clients for the past seven years: long enough to feel comfortable in my body with you; new enough to put additional care and energy into learning about your specific struggle and idiosyncrasies. The bedrock of my therapeutic approach is ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), however, I use aspects from other modalities, especially the relational component of Gestalt Therapy. Above all, my approach is gentle and full of warm humour. I am committed to meeting you where you’re at. All imperfections and shadows are welcome.
So far, the typical client who walks through my door struggles with codependency and relationship issues. Specifically, having difficulty distinguishing their needs from their partners’; compulsively wanting to rescue others; and requiring a partner for self-worth. Other issues include addiction tendencies (including perfectionism), and life transitions. I believe in the continual evolution of mind, heart, and spirit. Thus, I spent eight years in academia feeding my hunger for knowledge, after which I left thanks to the wisdom of my heart. I’m currently at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto, expanding my relationship among all three.
